This is a vintage Canon New FD 135mm F3.5 manual-focus telephoto lens, professionally modified by TerPhoto for cinematography and professional video work, then adapted and adjusted for Sony E-mount cameras. The lens covers a full-frame sensor and can also be used on Sony APS-C E-mount bodies, where it provides an even tighter telephoto field of view.

The aperture has been de-clicked for smooth, stepless iris adjustments while filming, and a follow-focus gear is fitted to the focusing ring for precise and repeatable manual focus pulls. The special cine modification is designed to produce blue oval bokeh and beautiful blue flares, giving footage a strong anamorphic-inspired character while retaining a spherical image.

Unlike a true anamorphic lens, this modified Canon does not require de-squeezing in post-production. For a classic widescreen presentation, simply crop your footage or add approximately 2.35:1 aspect-ratio black bars during editing. The strength, direction and appearance of the blue flare and oval bokeh naturally vary depending on aperture, focusing distance, background highlights and the position or intensity of light sources.

The lens has been fully cleaned, adjusted and re-lubricated, then adapted and adjusted specifically for Sony E-mount use. Glass is in good vintage condition. Very minor age-related wear may be present on the optical surfaces, which is normal for vintage lenses of this age and does not affect the final image. The exterior shows normal signs of previous use, including some light marks and cosmetic scuffs visible in the photographs, without major exterior damage apparent.
