The lens has been internally modified to produce oval-shaped out-of-focus highlights while remaining a spherical lens. This creates an anamorphic-inspired visual character without image squeeze and without requiring de-squeezing in post-production. For a classic widescreen presentation, simply compose or crop the finished footage to a 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
