A character-rich vintage telephoto lens professionally modified by TerPhoto for cinematography, filmmaking and professional video work. This Focal MC Auto 135mm F2.8 has been adapted and precisely adjusted for Fujifilm X / Fuji FX mount, giving modern Fujifilm filmmakers access to a classic full-frame vintage optical design with a distinctive cinematic personality. The lens has been modified to produce a neutral oval bokeh effect together with beautiful orange horizontal flares, creating an anamorphic-inspired image from a spherical lens. Because this is not a true anamorphic optical system, there is no de-squeezing required in post-production. For a classic widescreen presentation, simply crop or add approximately 2.35:1 cinematic black bars during editing.

The aperture mechanism has been de-clicked, allowing smooth and continuous iris adjustments while recording. Two cine-style follow-focus gears are fitted to the lens: one on the focus control and one on the aperture control. This makes the lens practical for follow-focus systems, wireless motors and other cinema-rig setups.

The optics are in good vintage condition and are free from fungus, scratches and fog. The lens has been fully cleaned, mechanically adjusted and re-lubricated. The body shows normal light cosmetic signs associated with a vintage manual-focus lens, while the important controls and engraved markings remain clearly usable. The lens has also been adapted and calibrated for proper operation on Fujifilm X cameras. This optic covers a full-frame 35mm image circle, making it especially useful for portraits, compressed close-ups, interviews, beauty shots, detail work and stylized narrative cinematography.
