A unique vintage Japanese 135mm telephoto transformed into a production-ready cinema lens by TerPhoto. This Hanimar 135mm F2.8 combines genuine vintage spherical optics with a special cinematic modification designed to produce blue oval bokeh and expressive blue flares, giving footage an anamorphic-inspired character while remaining a spherical lens.

Unlike a true anamorphic optic, this lens does not require de-squeezing in post-production. Shoot normally and, when desired, add a 2.35:1 cinematic crop or black bars during editing to complement its anamorphic-style visual character. The 135mm focal length provides strong subject separation and compressed perspective, making the lens especially attractive for cinematic portraits, close-ups, inserts, music videos, narrative productions and stylized commercial work.

The original aperture mechanism has been de-clicked, allowing smooth, continuous iris adjustments while recording. Two cine-style follow-focus gears are installed on the focus and aperture controls, making the lens practical for follow-focus systems, wireless motors and professional cinema rigs.

The lens has been fully cleaned, adjusted and re-lubricated. It has also been professionally adapted and adjusted for ARRI PL mount use. The front has been configured with an 80mm OD cine lens hood, providing a more production-friendly form factor.

The glass is in good vintage condition and is free from fungus, scratches and fog. As expected from a vintage lens, minor age-related cosmetic signs may be present on the barrel and components, but these do not interfere with normal operation.

This lens covers a full-frame sensor, giving filmmakers access to the complete vintage 135mm image circle on compatible full-frame cinema cameras while also working as a longer telephoto option on Super 35 systems.
