A professionally modified Helios 28mm F2.8 vintage prime lens by TerPhoto, prepared specifically for cinematography, filmmaking and professional video work. This unique cine modification combines vintage spherical optics with a specially modified optical effect that produces red oval bokeh and distinctive red cinematic flares, creating the visual character associated with anamorphic cinematography while keeping a standard spherical image.

This is not a squeeze anamorphic lens, so no de-squeezing is required in post-production. The lens records a normal image while introducing oval bokeh and colored flare characteristics. For a classic widescreen presentation, simply crop or add 2.35:1 cinematic bars during editing.

The aperture has been professionally de-clicked, allowing smooth and silent exposure adjustments during video recording. A cine follow-focus gear is installed on the focusing ring for accurate focus pulls with standard filmmaking rigs and follow-focus systems.

The original lens has been fully cleaned, adjusted and re-lubricated, then professionally adapted and calibrated for Micro Four Thirds / M4/3 mount. It is ready for manual operation on compatible Panasonic Lumix, Olympus / OM System and Blackmagic Micro Four Thirds cameras, including cinema-oriented setups such as the BMPCC 4K.

The glass is in good vintage condition. There is very minor age-related wear on the optical surfaces, typical of vintage lenses of this period. These minor signs do not affect the final image in normal use. The exterior shows light cosmetic wear consistent with age and professional conversion, as visible in the photographs.
