Experience the unmistakable vintage character of the legendary Helios-44-2 58mm F2, professionally modified for cinematography and modern video production.

This Cine-Mod version combines the famous Helios rendering and swirly bokeh with a neutral anamorphic-style bokeh effect and cinematic blue flare. The optical modification creates an anamorphic-inspired character while remaining a spherical lens, so no de-squeezing is required. For a classic widescreen presentation, simply add 2.35:1 aspect-ratio black bars during post-production.

The aperture has been professionally de-clicked, and the original preset aperture mechanism has been removed. Aperture adjustment is now smooth and stepless using a single aperture ring, making exposure changes much more convenient during video recording.

Both focus and aperture rings are equipped with 0.8-pitch rubber cine gears, allowing the lens to work with standard follow-focus systems and other filmmaking accessories. An included 80mm OD cine lens hood helps integrate this vintage optic into a modern cinema rig and features a 77mm front filter thread.

The lens has a native M42 screw mount and can be supplied with an adapter for your selected camera mount. Available options include ARRI PL, Canon EF, Canon EF-M, Canon RF, Fuji X/FX, Leica L, Micro Four Thirds, Nikon 1, Nikon Z, Samsung NX, and Sony E-mount.

Glass is in excellent condition with no fungus or scratches. Minor cleaning marks may occasionally be present due to the age of these vintage lenses, but they do not affect normal image quality. The lens body may show normal cosmetic signs of age and previous use. Focus and aperture operation is smooth and fully functional.
