Professionally modified by TerPhoto, this Olympus OM-System F.Zuiko Auto-T 200mm F5 is a character-rich vintage telephoto lens converted for cinematography, filmmaking, music videos, portrait work and professional video production.

The lens has been fully cleaned, adjusted and re-lubricated, then adapted and calibrated for Canon EF mount. It is a fully manual lens and covers the full-frame 35mm image area, making it suitable for full-frame Canon EF cameras as well as many cinema and mirrorless systems when used with the appropriate additional adapter.

This cine modification creates a distinctive anamorphic-inspired aesthetic while remaining a spherical lens. The optical modification produces neutral oval bokeh and attractive neutral flares that take on the color of the light source. Because the lens does not optically squeeze the image, no anamorphic de-squeezing is required. For an anamorphic-style presentation, simply compose or crop to a cinematic ratio such as 2.35:1 in post-production.

The aperture has been de-clicked, allowing smooth, stepless iris adjustments during filming. A follow-focus gear is installed on the focusing ring for more accurate and repeatable manual focus pulls when working with a follow-focus system.

The glass is in good vintage condition. As expected from an original 1970s lens, very minor age-related or cleaning wear may be present on the optical surfaces, but this is not expected to affect the final image. The exterior is also in good vintage condition with minor normal signs of previous use. The photographs show the actual lens and should be considered part of the condition description.

This cine conversion is based on the early Olympus OM-System F.Zuiko Auto-T 200mm F5, a compact manual-focus telephoto introduced with the early OM generation in 1972. The lens was designed for 35mm film and uses a 6-element, 5-group optical formula. In Olympus' early naming system, the letter “F” in F.Zuiko indicated six optical elements, while “Auto-T” identified an automatic-diaphragm telephoto lens. Its compact construction was characteristic of Olympus' original OM philosophy: professional 35mm optics in relatively small and lightweight packages.
