A rare opportunity to add a classic East German super-telephoto to a professional cinema setup. This Pentacon 300mm F4 has been professionally serviced and adapted for ARRI PL mount, making its distinctive vintage rendering accessible to modern digital cinema cameras.

This is a genuine Made in G.D.R. Pentacon 4/300, originating from the famous Meyer-Optik Görlitz Orestegor 300mm F4 design. The Orestegor 300/4 appeared in 1967 as a fast long-focus lens for systems including the Pentacon Six medium-format camera. Following the integration of Meyer-Optik into VEB Pentacon, the design continued under the Pentacon 300mm F4 name. Its original medium-format heritage gives the lens an image circle substantially larger than conventional 35mm format, and this lens covers a full-frame sensor.

The lens has been fully cleaned, adjusted and re-lubricated. It has also been professionally adapted and adjusted for ARRI PL mount. This makes it interesting for cinematographers seeking authentic vintage optics without having to deal with the original photographic mount.
