A character-rich vintage Revuenon Auto 35mm F2.8 prime lens professionally modified for cinematography, filmmaking and professional video production. This lens has been adapted and adjusted for Micro Four Thirds / M4/3 cameras and is ready for use in a modern cine setup.

The aperture mechanism has been de-clicked, allowing smooth and continuous iris adjustment during recording instead of the stepped aperture movement found on the original photographic version. Two cine-style follow-focus gears are installed – one on the focusing ring and one on the aperture ring, making the lens practical for follow-focus systems, wireless lens motors and manual cinema rigs. The lens has been fully cleaned, mechanically adjusted and re-lubricated. Focus and aperture operation have been prepared specifically for filmmaking use.

The glass is in good vintage condition. There is very minor age-related wear and almost invisible cleaning marks / extremely small scratches on the optical surfaces. These marks are typical for a lens of this age and do not affect the final image in normal shooting conditions. This lens retains the optical coverage of the original 35mm-format design and therefore covers a full-frame 35mm image circle. When mounted on a Micro Four Thirds camera, the 35mm focal length produces approximately the field of view of a 70mm lens on full frame, making it particularly useful for portraits, interviews, close-ups, narrative filmmaking and detail shots.

The original Auto Revuenon 35mm F2.8 was a manual-focus M42 screw-mount lens. Revuenon was a house brand associated with the West German Foto-Quelle/Quelle retailer, which sourced lenses from several international manufacturers in 1970s.
