This TerPhoto cine-modified Samigon Telephoto 200mm F3.5 is a character-rich vintage full-frame telephoto lens professionally prepared for cinematography, filmmaking, music videos, portraits, commercials and creative professional video work. The original Japanese manual-focus optic has been adapted and adjusted for Sony E-mount, giving modern Sony mirrorless and cinema-camera users access to a distinctive vintage telephoto rendering with a unique cinematic modification. The lens features a specially created red anamorphic-style effect, producing distinctive red oval bokeh in out-of-focus highlights together with beautiful red flare characteristics. Unlike a true anamorphic attachment, this remains a spherical lens, so footage does not require de-squeezing during editing. For a classic widescreen cinema presentation, simply crop the finished image or add approximately 2.35:1 aspect-ratio black bars in post-production.

At 200mm, the lens gives strong perspective compression, excellent subject isolation and a narrow field of view. The lens has been fully cleaned, adjusted and re-lubricated by TerPhoto. It has then been adapted and calibrated for Sony E-mount operation. Focus and aperture mechanisms are prepared specifically with cinematography and professional manual operation in mind. Glass is in good vintage condition. There is only very minor age-related wear on the optical surfaces, typical for an original vintage lens of this period, and will not expected to affect the final recorded image. The exterior also shows minor cosmetic traces of normal vintage use, but these do not interfere with operation.
