The Haiou-64, also known as the Seagull Haiou-64, is a Chinese 58mm F2 vintage lens from the classic Biotar-style family. It is widely known among vintage lens shooters as a rare Chinese copy inspired by the Helios-44, which itself was based on the legendary Carl Zeiss Biotar 58mm F2 optical design. The “64” name is commonly associated with the 6 elements in 4 groups optical formula. These lenses were mainly produced during the vintage Chinese film-camera era, often associated with the 1970s–1980s Seagull / Haiou camera system period.

This lens delivers the kind of character modern clinical glass often lacks: vintage contrast, organic sharpness, smooth manual focus, classic 58mm perspective, warm rendering, natural falloff, and expressive background separation.
