This lens has been fully cleaned, mechanically checked, adjusted and re-lubricated before adaptation to Sony E-mount. The aperture mechanism has been de-clicked, allowing smooth and continuous iris changes during filming. Two follow-focus gears are installed: one on the focusing ring and one on the aperture ring, providing precise control when used with a follow-focus system, wireless focus motor or compact cinema rig.

The lens covers a full-frame sensor, making it suitable for Sony Alpha and Sony Cinema Line full-frame cameras while retaining the original dramatic 17mm ultra-wide field of view. It can also be used on APS-C Sony E-mount cameras, where it provides a narrower field of view.
