A rare Japanese-made Topman MC 28mm F2.8 vintage prime lens, professionally modified by TerPhoto for cinematography, filmmaking and professional video production. This lens started life as a manual-focus 28mm still-photography lens and has been converted into a practical cine-style optic with a de-clicked aperture, two follow-focus gears, M4/3 adaptation and an 80mm OD cine lens hood.

The original Topman 28mm is a 35mm-format lens, so its optical image circle covers a full-frame sensor. This particular lens is supplied configured for Micro Four Thirds cameras. Because M4/3 uses approximately a 2x crop factor, the 28mm focal length gives a field of view similar to about 56mm on full frame, making it particularly useful for narrative work, interviews, medium shots, detail shots and handheld filmmaking.

The aperture has been professionally de-clicked, allowing smooth, continuous exposure changes during recording instead of the stepped movement of a traditional photographic aperture ring.
